Harvey's Story
Harveys Beacon Of Light Foundation NPC was started in honour of our angel boy, a much loved and stocky little French Bulldog named Harvey.
Harvey brought us months of deep love and the greatest joy. He went missing in July 2020 and we started an immediate and wide search effort to find him. During the time he was missing, South Africans from all walks of life came together in droves to help find him. It was simply unbelievable to witness and experience. With great sadness and devastation, Harvey was found deceased two weeks later.
Our little boy had crept into everyone’s hearts and impacted so many lives forever. The messages streaming in, even now, testify to the way in which people opened their hearts to search for him and to love him. The love, unity and hope experienced between absolute strangers coming together for one united cause was the most humbling and inspiring experience of our lives. It was a true testament to the bright and beautiful light that Harvey was – and this inspired us to start this Foundation.
In the quest to keep furry family members safe, and in honour of the PURE LOVE that we have for them, our Foundation was born to honour Harvey’s memory, and all of his kind.
Our wish is that Harvey’s light lives on forever – acting as a Beacon of Light & Hope for all animals, particularly when they are lost and far from their homes. United, we truly believe we can achieve anything.
