By using Puppify (Pty) Ltd services owners/clients agree to the below terms and conditions

Grooming Terms & Conditions

  1. Payment
  • We accept cash and debit/credit card and SnapScan. We also accept EFT but require payment prior to arrival.
  • If for whatever reason payment is not made prior to or on the day of grooming then then payment is due within 2 business days unless otherwise arranged.
  • Failure to make timeous payment will result in late payment fees and interest and may result in an impaired credit record.
  • By using our services to you agree to being personally liable for all collection fees, legal fees, late payment fees and interest.
  1. Pricing
  • Prices given over the phone are based on Puppifys’ representative’s judgement and based on the information provided by the client.
  • Puppify (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to change in accordance if the condition or size of the pet requires more work than anticipated.
  • Puppify reserves the right to charge an additional fee for severely matted dogs and cats in addition to pricing displayed.
  • Prices are available on the website and therefore the client acknowledges that additional fees may be incurred.
  • Prices are subject to change.
  1. Hours of Operation
  • Our hours of operations are Monday to Friday 8am – 4.30pm and selective Saturdays and Public Holidays.
  • Last appointments of the day must begin no later than 3.30pm, unless otherwise agreed, depending on the breed and condition.
  • If the client delays the team from grooming a pet then Puppify (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to charge an additional R100 for every 30min delay. We reserve the right to turn away clients that are over 15 minutes late for their appointment.
  1. Booking Reservations
  • You are encouraged to book your service in advance
  • Cancellation policy: 24 hours notice must be given before cancelling an appointment, failing which we reserve the right to charge for the full price.
  1. Matted Coats
  • The well-being of your pet is of utmost importance to Puppify (Pty) Ltd, for this reason, severely matted dogs and cats, will be shaved to prevent pain and suffering.
  • By using Puppify (Pty) Ltd services, the client grants permission for matted hair to be shaved and stripped. The additional cost of this will be borne by the client.
  • Severely matted pets will incur additional fees at the discretion of management.
  • It should be noted that there is a greater risk of cuts and injury for severely matted pets and Puppify (Pty) Ltd will not be held liable for the injury of any pet. 
  1. Illness / Injury
  • Pet’s medical history must be disclosed before any treatment commences. We retain the right to refuse to groom any pet that may have any of the following:
    • Stitches from any surgery
    • Any open or weeping wounds
    • Any form of ill health
    • Vomiting
    • Diarrhea
    • Breathing difficulties
    • Unusual lethargy
    • Any other signs of injury not yet seen to by a vet
  • By using Puppify (Pty) Ltd services, the client agrees:
    • The pet is fit and healthy. (Grooming of sick or elderly pets is entirely at the owner’s risk). Grooming may expose underlying skin or health problems that we cannot be held liable for.)
    • The pet is vaccinated and up to date. An unvaccinated pet puts itself and others at risk.
    • It must be clearly understood and agreed that whilst every attention is given to your pet(s) they are accepted at the owner’s risk. Our first concern is for the welfare of your pet so in the event of injury or illness a vet may be called in and all costs in connection with and in the carrying out of this instruction shall be at the owner’s expense.
    • That the groomer and Puppify (Pty) Ltd will not be held liable or responsible for any mishap caused by a non-disclosure of the clients’ pet’s medical condition or behaviour.
    • The client acknowledges that no complaints will be entertained more that 24 hours after being groomed.
  1. Ticks and Fleas
  • Pets with ticks and fleas will be treated with Puppify (Pty) Ltd choice of remedy at the current cost indicated on our price list. Owners will be advised and are encouraged to address problems areas in their pet’s home and immediate environment.
  • The mobile salon will also need to be treated to prevent cross contamination therefore and additional charge of R50 will be levied if we are not informed prior to grooming of infestation. You will be advised to treat your pet and your home environment to eradicate the problem.
  1. Aggressive / Difficult Dogs
  • Dogs that are aggressive, difficult or have a tendency to bite will generally be muzzled for their safety and ours. While we have a great deal of experience and success in the grooming of difficult dogs, we reserve the right to halt the grooming process should a dog become aggressive to the point of being a danger to staff or to his or herself. Full or part of the grooming charge may apply.
  • Please note Puppify (Pty) Ltd are not able to sedate your pet.
  1. Public Liability
  • While every care is taken to ensure the safety of all pets, owners will not hold Puppify (Pty) Ltd, its staff nor owners liable for any loss or injury to their pets and/or property.
  1. Marketing
  • By using Puppify (Pty) Ltd, the client agrees to their pet being photographed and being used on Puppify (Pty) Ltd website/social media and for any marketing purposes.
